The Deep Data Detectives (D3), a flagship initiative of Nxt Wave Founders, invites ideas from across teachers, students, parents, librarians, and community organizers that can invigorate experiential learning, after school, summer and community development programs as a catalyst for local economic development with data-informed decisions.
The process starts with a Field Trip or Exploratory Activity Proposal.

- What will take to create healthy physical and digital spaces for the community that can embed equity

- Graduate students into economic mobility by preventing unemployment and poverty levels related to climate change, innovation and automation
- Carbon Capture and Carbon Sequestration Projects
- Planting trees (research what trees are best for the local community around rivers, trails, canals and other conservation developments that promote inclusive healthy lifestyles, wellness and recreation)
- Healing and cooling systems/programs for communities with no more of 500,000 residents (from awareness/educational programs to technology solutions)
- Low carbon boating projects
- Biodiversity is important. Detecting new vulnerabilities to pests that affect humans, livestock, wildlife and plants.
- Forestation projects
- Hydropower or energy conservation projects
- Community outreach programs for local Blueways/Greenways projects
- Sea level rise and saltwater intrusion that affect coastal populations and prime agricultural lands
- Broadband Data Collection
- Identify the barriers for high speed and stable connectivity in your school and community, i.e. expensive providers’ fees, effective service coverage, digital literacy, city/state subsidies, and others.
- Propose your own project/idea to activate your community in events and education to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from electrical vehicles through integrated transportation, community sustainability, land use, housing, wildland, wildfire safety, high lines, invasive insects, inclusive reflection/ meditation gardens or mini-parks inside your school or in the community, museum curation, music concerts, art exhibits and anything you want to do to help your school and the community.

D3 ADVENTURES EXPLORATIONS
The purpose of D3 Adventures Explorations is to conduct preliminary data gathering by employing D3 evaluation tools to activate community stakeholders.
D3 Adventures' Field Trip must be scheduled between December 5, 2022 and December 17, 2022.

CURATING TRAINING CONTENT MENTORSHIP WITH COALITION PARTNER
FOR ALL D3 ADVENTURES ParticipAnts
SUPPORTED BY AN ECOSYSTEM OF DATA AND MULTIMEDIA ROCK-STARS, D3 ADVENTURES PARTICIPANTS WILL BENEFIT FROM ASSISTANCE:
- Developing evaluation tools using UX-human centered approach
- Developing metrics and outcomes
- Finding datasets
- Cleaning and formatting datasets
- Writing concept papers
- Obtaining Digital Multimedia Equipment: video camera (i.e. webcams, digital cameras, MIDI ports, microphones, sound cards, and video capture cards)
- 1:1 Mentorship Sessions for Exploratory Data Analysis
- 1:1 Mentorship Sessions for narrative, interactive, adaptive, , productive, and communicative media.

Nxt Wave Founders (NWF) with its D3 Adventures program is set to provide broader options for young people to work on a range of social and sustainability projects while investigating the mysteries in big data, earn a decent wage, and get valuable opportunities to harness the power of data science and Ai in the service of humanity and the environment.
